Coupons: caps, limits and reserved slots

A code, how much it takes off, and the most it can take off one order. Then who can use it, how often, and for how long.

On this page

01The code

  1. Choose New coupon.
  2. Code: upper case, no spaces, such as WELCOME10.
  3. Type: percentage off, or a fixed amount off, and its Value.
  4. Cap: the most it can take off one order.

02Who and when

  • Minimum order: the coupon works only above it.
  • Runs for: a number of days from now, or no end.
  • Total uses and Uses per customer.
  • Applies to the whole order, a category or one product, and Customer types: retail, wholesale or both.
  • First order only, and Show on the store as a public code (on to start).

Then choose Create coupon.

03Protect your margins

Set a cap and a minimum order together. 10% off with a cap of GH₵30 and a minimum order of GH₵50 never takes more than GH₵30 off, and only on orders you were glad to get.

04Reserved slots

While an order with a coupon waits for payment, it holds one use. Held uses count towards Total uses until the order is paid or cancelled, so a popular code can't be used more times than you allowed.

05Afterwards

Find a coupon under Active, Scheduled, Inactive, Used up or Expired. Its menu has Usage, Copy code, and Enable or Disable. Ask can draft one for you too: see Ask, in your dashboard.
